About Us
We are a friendly archery club in Fakenham, Norfolk, catering for all ages and abilities. Like many archery clubs around the UK, we’ve shrunk in size in recent years. This has drawn us together, everyone knows everyone else, and everyone has a say in what we do. We have members from Fakenham and further afield, of various ages, abilities and bow styles. Come and see us.
We shoot outdoors at Fakenham Racecourse on the following days :
Sunday afternoons – 2pm to 8pm Spring/Summer months
Sunday afternoons – 2pm to dusk Autumn/Winter months
Thursday afternoons – as per Sundays
Tuesday mornings – 9.30am to 12 noon
We also have an indoor facility in the Lancaster Room, The Gallow Sports Centre :
Tuesday Evenings – 5pm to 8pm
Saturday afternoon – 2pm to 5pm
Sunday afternoon – 2pm to 5pm

We host a few major competitions each year, both target and clout shoots, some being record status shoots. Our Mayday Weekend and Clout Weekend are well known and received, with competitors from around the UK. Our annual indoor WA 18m competition and outdoor World Archery Weekend had to be suspended for the last couple of years, but we are hoping to restart these in the future.

New to archery? You can try the sport through one of our Induction Courses and see if you like it – we provide all the equipment, tuition and information you need to try sport and decide if you’d like to go on and join the club.
Visiting archers are welcome to join us (bring your Archery GB card). We have a modest target fee of £5, or you can join us as your second club, it’s very good value.
